A framed 19th century engraving of Albrecht Dürer (German, 1471–1528) Abduction of Proserpine on a Unicorn. Matted in a cream colored linen mat and framed in a beautiful Art Nouveau gold washed carved wood period frame, the etching measures approximately fourteen and one half inches by seventeen inches overall. The image measures approximately eight inches by eleven inches. There is no foxing present, but there is a small stain under the Unicorn's hooves on the bottom left. Overall it is in excellent antique condition.
