Kremetz Sterling Enamel Shamrock Dresser Jar

Beautiful shaded English hunter green shamrocks w/yellow to white shaded clover buds on this lid. Under the translucent enamel you can see the detailing to the leaves & buds. Occasionally on the edge of an enamel area you can see a touch of reddish brown enamel-we don't know what caused this. The enamel is in excellent condition. The lid has no holes when held to light. The lid fits firmly in most positions. The cut glass jar is a lovely shape. It is made w/a top shelf (for want of better word) and then goes into a curve downward to base rim. The curved sides are composed of 10 cut rectangular faceted panels (see pictures). The interior top rim has normal roughness felt w/a fingernail. The exterior top rim is in excellent plus condition. The top shelf facet rim has a few flea bites too small to measure felt w/a finger nail. The 11 side facets to the panels are in excellent condition- one has a nick approx 1/32". The bottom rim is in excellent condition. An absolutely beautiful special jar made by a master enameler. Kremetz was well known for their enameled Art Nouveau jewelry and also did specialty silver items. Circa 1900. Size is 1 3/4" dia glass bottom w/a 2 1/2" dia at top of glass jar shelf and/a 2 1/8" dia lid x 2" tall. Please read "ABOUT US" & "TERMS OF SALE" before purchasing.
