Sorry the gold color on horn is a reflection. Beautiful medium baby blue color base enamel w/hand painted pink roses in a basket w/blue ribbons. Note the gold accent-that is gold foil placed after hand painting under the final clear coat. Enamel pattern is on both sides of handle. The enamel is in excellent original condition. On the bottom of 1 side at base of handle there is a rough spot a little less then 1/32". When viewed w/a 10 power loop it is not a chip. It is a makers flaw where the clear coat was not quite thick enough to leave a smooth finish. The sterling on the handle is in excellent condition. The horn is silver plated and should be steel. Overall the plate is in very good to excellent minus condition with normal pitting like discoloration. There is a 3/4" long line where there is a loss of plate on & off (see picture). Mark is: Thomae hallmark/Sterling. Size 8 1/2" total long (Enamel-sterling handle 4" long) x 1 1/16" widest part of horn & 3/4" widest part of handle. Circa 1925. Please read "ABOUT US" & "TERMS OF SALE" before purchasing.
