Ruby Lane and each of its independent shops want you to be satisfied with your purchase. To ensure your satisfaction and for the protection of both the buyer and shop owner, we have a Return Policy that each Ruby Lane shop owner honors. View Return Policy now.
Shipping/Handling/Insurance Policy:
WE SHIP WORLDWIDE
LAYAWAY OPTION
We are happy to offer our customers a 60-day Layaway option for items priced at $100 (one hundred dollars) or more. The total order amount will be divided into three (3) equal payments.
LAYAWAY PROCEDURE:
To put an item on Layaway, simply submit a Purchase Order, which will mark the item as Sale Pending. Tell us that you want to put the item on Layaway.
Once you have submitted the Purchase Order, we will send you a Purchase Order Total, including the amount of your first payment and a schedule of subsequent payment amounts and due dates. Please make note of your due dates. No reminders will be sent.
FIRST LAYAWAY PAYMENT:
If You Use PayPal: Your first payment is due within 72 hours of your receipt of our Purchase Order Total. If first payment is not received within 72 hours, the item will be returned to our shop and listed for sale again.
If You Use a Check or Money Order: Your first payment is due within ten (10) days of your receipt of our Purchase Order Total. If first payment is not received within ten (10) days, the item will be returned to our shop and listed for sale again.
LAST TWO LAYAWAY PAYMENTS:
The 2nd payment must be received within 30 days, and the 3rd (final) payment must be received within 60 days. If the first payment has been received, but the 2nd or 3rd payment has not been received within 10 days of due date, a restocking fee of 25% of full purchase price will be charged, and the item will be returned to our shop and listed for sale again. Please make note of your due dates. No reminders will be sent.
LAYAWAY PAYMENT DEFAULTS
Customers defaulting on Layaway payments will receive their choice of a refund for payment(s) made, minus a restocking charge of 25% of the total price of the item(s) they ordered, or, a store credit for the equivalent amount.
DOMESTIC PAYMENT
We accept payments through PayPal, Money Orders, and personal or business checks. Please allow approximately ten days for checks to clear before we ship.
INTERNATIONAL PAYMENT
International customers must make payments through Paypal.
SHIPPING / HANDLING / INSURANCE POLICIES
We normally ship within 48 hours of receipt of payment. We ship items Monday thru Friday via USPS. All items are expertly packed, and, to discourage theft, the return address states the shop owners' names rather than our business name. We will always notify you and disclose delays, if any. There is never a handling charge.
PLEASE DO NOT RETURN AN ITEM TO US DUE TO SHIPPING DAMAGE! Should damage occur, the only way that customers can be reimbursed is by filing an insurance claim through the shipping agent. We will be happy to assist in this. Always be sure to retain all original packaging if a claim is to be made, as the shipping agent will request to examine it.
DOMESTIC SHIPPING
We provide FREE USPS First Class shipping and insurance for all domestic customers. Customers who pay with a business or personal check should allow 10 banking days for checks to clear our account before we ship.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
We provide FREE USPS First Class International shipping and insurance.
We are committed to operating every aspect of our business with integrity. For our customers' protection as well as our own, we complete all customs documentation accurately, and we decline all requests to falsify customs documents in any way. Please do not ask that we describe your purchase as a gift. We describe vintage costume jewelry as "used fashion accessories" to prohibit its valuation as fine jewelry and to discourage theft.

COMBINED SHIPPING
If you purchase more than one item, we will be happy to ship them together (if possible) to save you money.
