I love the warmth and beauty of this lovely, wood-fired covered pot. In wood firing, the heat creates surprising and unpredictable colorations and textures on the clay. The potter who created this beautiful form had no idea how the fire would finish it. In this case, the potter was lucky since the fire enhanced the piece. I added the onions because they are also from the earth and harmonious in color, and I added the sweet, little turquoise bowl to give some cool relief to all that warmth. Enjoy.
