These two pears and a bunch of grapes looked so relaxed and comfortable together that I decided to call this painting “Hangin’ Out.” The soft yellow-green of the pears with their beautiful “blush” echoed the warmth of the red grapes while providing a color contrast. This is one in the "Painting A Day" series I am doing in between more complex and detailed paintings. These paintings are smaller, more spontaneous and must be painted in one day (my rule). They are intended to hone my skills by forcing me to capture the essence of the scene as quickly and simply as possible. Enjoy.
