An exceptional vintage Navajo Native American squash blossom necklace from the 1970s. It is entirely hand-crafted from sterling silver and eighteen polished oval malachite cabs that are all bezel-set in serrated cups. The malachite stones are accented with adjacent sterling silver leaves, silver studs, and coiled drawn wire. The squash blossoms are hand-made as well, with smooth, nicely rounded edges on their petals. All of the necklace's 156 beads are hand-made sterling.

Malachite is less commonly used in Native American necklaces of this type, which are most often seen with turquoise stones, making this necklace somewhat unusual. It is also a more mid-sized piece, more moderate in weight and scale; very comfortable to wear. Fastens with a hook-and-eye closure.

• SIZE: The crescent shaped Naja measures 2 5/8 inches wide X 2 1/8 inches tall. Each malachite cab measures 5/16 inch X 3/8 inch. The length of the necklace is approximately 23 inches.

• CONDITION: Excellent, with no flaws of any kind.
