A Derby Crown Porcelain (later Royal Crown Derby) cabinet or dessert plate, decorated with gilt flowers in relief on a pale cream ground. The rim is a deeper shade of cream. This type of ware is more commonly associated with the Royal Worcester Factory. This gilding is superb, with a lot of raised work. The pattern number is 1965 and the plate has the printed mark for 1885 .

The plate is in good condition. There is no damage or restoration. The gilding is good with only a little wear, as illustrated. There is also a little stacking wear to the cream ground, commensurate with age.

The plate is 8.7 inches wide.

Item ID: 60322
