A very striking Spode inkstand standing on clawed feet made c.1810 - 1820 . The ink stand is decorated with a very rich Imari pattern, based on the very popular 967 Imari pattern. The inkstand is marked SPODE and 1645 in red enamel.

The inkstand is in very good condition. There is no damage or restoration. The gilding is very good, with a little wear on just a couple of small areas, as illustrated. A lovely piece of English Imari.

The inkstand is 9 inches long.
