Modern Medieval style Fine Silver Hollow Form Pendant with a Sterling Chain

I call this one "Medieval Alien Sunflower". it's a reversible, hollow form, fine silver pendant made from PMC*. The scalloped petals and background are matte finished while the seed-like balls in the center are polished to a bright finish, and the whole piece is oxidized.

I felt like the look combined a medieval feeling with a futuristic, other-worldy form, while still evoking an organic look. Hence the name. The sterling link chain attaches with a sturdy handmade clasp (also sterling.)

* PMC, or Precious Metal Clay, is made from super-fine particles of fine silver mixed with an organic binder resulting in clay. After creating a piece of jewelry, art, or other item from this clay, it is fired at very high temperatures in a kiln where the organic binders burn away leaving .999 pure silver also called Fine Silver.

To compare, Fine Silver is 99.9% pure silver. Sterling Silver is 92.5% pure silver with the remainder comprised of other metals (usually copper.)
