Blueberries & Pods. This pendant was made by painting many coats of PMC* over natural pods. In the kiln, the pods burn away leaving a perfect replica of themselves in fine silver!

Two lovely swirled blue & black triangular beads bracket the pendant. The link chain is sterling and attaches with an attractive & sturdy, magnetic clasp.

* PMC, or Precious Metal Clay, is made from super-fine particles of fine silver mixed with an organic binder resulting in clay. After creating a piece of jewelry, art, or other item from this clay, it is fired at very high temperatures in a kiln where the organic binders burn away leaving .999 pure silver also called Fine Silver.

To compare, Fine Silver is 99.9% pure silver. Sterling Silver is 92.5% pure silver with the remainder comprised of other metals (usually copper.)
