Hull Pottery Little Red Riding Hood Cookie Jar Original with Label

Here is an original Little Red Riding Hood all dressed in her spring dress. She has on her red cloak and carrying an open basket.

On the front of her dress is a paper label reading Hand Painted Fired Ceramic Colors 14 karet gold. The bottom reads 967 Hull Ware Little Red Riding Hood, Patent Applied for U.S.A. She measures 13 inches high. No cracks but in places on her basket a fine mist of black from the sprayer or the lead is showing through. I did not scrub very hard for fear of taking of the colored flowers. A manufacturers flaw under the lid covered with glaze a small rough spot and a seam line on one side.

She was designed in 1943 while Hull owned the patent rights, much of the Red Riding Hood collection was actually produced by Regal China in Antioch, Illinois.

She is a nice addition to the cookie jar collector or Little Red Riding Hood memorabilia.
