He stands a large 15.5 inches tall. They do resemble parrots but are identified as cockatoo's.The colors are in soft summer pastel colors with a hooked beak being blue, quality control was not in effect a small eye color ran a little on his left eye, just part of the manufacturing process.
Vibrant colors in the soft greens, beige, golds, cranberry and cobalt blue on the tips of his wings and beak. Wonderful condition with no chips cracks, only a couple of tiny pin point paint flakes, not even noticeable,
According to Helen Cunningham's Schiffer book for collectors on Majolica Figures these birds was manufactured Ca 1880 black beak but with the blue beak after World War 1. A picture of the cockatoos representing the same colors of this bird came be found on page 96.
Very nice addition to the collectors of unusual Majolica figures.
