In the dance halls and in the Victorian homes ladies would chew tobacco and of course they needed to spit it out, therefore the name Spitton or a classier name Cuspidor. Measuring 7 1/2 inches wide and 5 inches high blue and white flowers in very good condition but it is unmarked. Along the edge there is an oval raised piece that was once trimmed in gold I believe this had a name on it but long worn off except a residue of gold paint. The back of this large serving bowl reads Schumann Bavaria, Germany U.S. Zone number 71 and 76. Scalloped edge trimmed in gold with a spray of flowers on the bottom and around the edge. Under the ridge a couple of minute nicks the rest in very good condition. Measuring 11 inches across. I do notice where the bottom clay has been cut off for setting even a slight slip causing a small chip on the very bottom. The rest of the teapot in very good condition.
