Notice the choppy edges on the shakers, they did not grind them smooth during that period of manufacturing. All measure a little over 3 inches. An original hen on a basket. this red combed hen is the lid for the handled basket. Waffle weave pattern on the bottom of the basket and around the top. She is in very good condition, measuring 3 3/4 inches high and 5 inches long. The very bottom of the basket has the cross, the same symbol found on Victorian milk glass baskets. Westmoreland usually manufactured Hen On A Nest. This one is unusual to find. Measuring a large 8 1/2 inches long with the bottom having a ribbed effect along the edge. In excellent condition with no inperfections of any kind, just a very nice collectors milk glass duck by Westmoreland.

This vintage milk glass shaker measures 3 3/4 inches high. The heavy milk glass body of the shaker is formed like a cluster of grapes. The metal screw on top has large holes in it makes me think it was used as a sugar or muffineer shaker. The shaker is in very good condition but the metal screw on top shows some wear. These single shakers were made by all of the glass manufactures in the late 1800's to early 1900's . Nice addition for the collector of Victorian shakers.

Shaped like a row boat this white milk glass pickle dish reads on the bottom Patented Feb. 17 711- 1874 with Pickle written on the bottom. This white milk glass row boat on the bottom has rows going along the outside. The inside has a pattern of two ores and on the edges holders for the oars but probably held the original pickle fork. Measuring 9 1/2 inches long and 4 1/2 inches wide. Almost perfect but under neath on the port front side is a small flea bite. A great dish from the Victorian era.
