From the time period 1900-1910, this reticulated (pierced) edge plate shows an unusual leaf design around it’s edge, with a central image of bold fruit. The cherries, pear and gooseberries (when was the last time you saw gooseberries shown on a plate?) are surrounded by boughs of pine with tiny pinecone.

The leaves each have gold details, as does the gently scalloped plate edge. The color is excellent, as is the condition of this plate. There is no wear to the plate’s surface, and there are no chips, crack or hairlines.

The back of this plate shows two tiny holes in it’s base. These holes were intentionally designed to accept a thin wire so that the plate could be hung decoratively on the wall. There is no sign of wear at these points, and it’s probable that these plates have never been hung. This plate is unmarked, but it consistent with plates made in Germany in this time period.

Plate size is 8-1/4 inches in diameter. Condition is Excellent, with no wear to the surface, nor any chips, cracks or hairlines.
