SALE RARE Sycamore and Walnut Country Hanging Box - 19th c Country Primitive

= Late 1800s, country hanging box, made of sycamore as primary wood, a wood rarely seen. Beaded wood trim is walnut - lovely rich color which contrasts against the rich highly figured wood of sycamore in it's warm honey color.

Think of it as a great fireplace accessory - match holder! - or in your kitchen to hold those little necessary things you need to find but somehow always get lost in the shuffle of life.

Sturdy working hinges, hangs anywhere as a practical, working antique (my favorite kind!).

Size is 5-1/2" wide x 6-3/4" tall. It's in Very Good Condition, save for the small, old repairs above the hinges, and a little piece of beaded trim missing along the back right side.
