= Such an unusual and uncommon half-doll pincushion! Just finding a black half-doll is wonderful, but having this one - unique in style - and it's such a treasure. I don't use the word "unique" very often - however, this pincushion is definitely one of a kind. She is the best!

From the late 19th century, her face shows fabulous character Her face has such precious features - the hand-stitched eyes are big, and her big red smile is exaggerated and so expressive, in true folk art fashion.

Over the years, she's been well-loved. Her kinky black hair is wild and all original. Her body shows her age, with old repairs to the upper arms and one hand. She is so lovable!

Condition is Good. The base is a soft gold color, and the velvet nap is good. Her base was used as the pincushion, while her body doesn't appear to have pin holes. Her body is well-stuffed in a black cotton shiny chintz. She stands proudly, a big 7" tall, showing off her extraordinary free-standing form.

What an incredibly folky piece of black memorabilia!!
