Lots of great old sewing items! See below for info on photo @ right.
The scalloping is delicate and attractive; and this quality Limoges bowl shows an excellent molding. The pierced handles show no wear on the gold either. This lovely bowl dates to the turn of the 19th century.
The Theodore Haviland, Limoges, France red mark is clear. Also visible is the impressed mark TH.
Size is 8-3/4" across, with a depth of 2". The measurement from handle edge to handle edge is 9-1/2".
Condition is Excellent - there's not a knife or cut mark to be found in this bowl, no chips, no hairlines, no cracks, no repairs, no loss of decoration or gold. There is a tiny, minor loss along the bottom rim, which I have pictured. It is quite small, and I believe this loss originated at the factory. Upon close inspection with a magnifying glass, one can clearly see the original glaze in this tiny depression. It does not in any way detract from this gorgeous bowl.
