One of the best kept luxury secrets are vintage men's robes. In the early 1900's era, most people really were smaller or shorter, even the men. You do not have to be a tall willowy Victoria's Secret model to enjoy wearing this robe. The label reads, Tailored by Rabhor...All silk Foulard. It is luxuriously soft. It is circa 1930's , 1940's..maybe a little earlier. 2 deep pockets in front..the kind that are angled so your hand slides in comfortably ... 3 inch deep cuff, that you can push up to your elbows while stirring in rich cream in your morning coffee. 18 inch sleeve inseam. It has a little silk hang loop inside the neck to hang this lovely item on a hook to have waiting for you to slip into after your shower. Rich shawl collar with a double seam under the top layer to help hold the silk's shape. 21 inches across the back from under arm to under arm area. Same in front, so looks like 42 inch bust...but, remember, this is a robe to lounge in, not to fit like a glove. Looks to be around 48 around the hip area...sounds large , but truthfully, it depends on how you want this to fit. If you are a size 8..no way lucky girl...but, if you are a size 12...or even a large 10...up to a size 14 , this robe is for you. There's a hidden placket on the front that has 1 button, the belt holds the rest of the robe closed...but, truthfully, a robe like this is wonderful to just put on over you nightie or P.J.'s and leave open. *** The raspberry pink scarf in not included...only the robe and robe's sash***. The robe is 51 inches long from the back neck to the bottom. The color is simply marvelous...not bright, instead , it has mellowed much like a good pair of jeans...a soft blue..the print is paisley, with the color contrast creating a blue /purple...hints of gray and raspberry. This robe was worn years ago. But, it also was well kept. No holes..no stains..I do see a hand sewn mend to the underarm..mended on the inside that doe snot show on the outside. It is a very soft supple fabric. Actually shapeless till you put it on, then the details hug your neck and drapes your body..not cling. The tie has wear , an open seam about 3 inches long that needs mended and a snag on the underside at one area. The tie is 80 inches long, 2 1/2 inches wide. Remember, this is not crisp satin, this is soft as cashmere silk and has been broke in years ago. Rather you are a man who loves luxury, or a woman who loves luxurious comfort...this will be your favorite blankie :-) From me to you, to enjoy in your home sweet home
