Here's truly one of my favorite finds. If you are someone who has an office, or you know someone who has or works in an office, this item is the perfect gift..for them or for yourself. A magnet does not stick to it, so, it appears to be solid brass. An old piece made when this type desk was in service. Each drawer pulls out. And by the way, it even has the little slide out board for the old typewriter , I forgot to show that due to the fact I always displayed it with the brass board slid in to avoid loosing it. 4 1/2 inches long , 3 1/2 inches deep and 2 3/4 inches tall. You really need to use the Ruby Lane enlarge photo option to fully appreciate this item's details. I am sure whoever owned it last, used it for paper clips etc because the drawers are lined in a sage velvet. And look at that chair...yes, it swivels and the wheels do turn. The chair is 3 inches tall. Although it does not slide inside the desk hole, I am positive it is original to the desk. Fine vintage condition , it has survived the years well with a fine patina . It has never been polished. I decided to sell this item , because it's time to let go. It has been enjoyed by yours truly , sitting among desk collectibles and books on one of the big desks here at the house.
