Antique Kate Greenway Children With Poodle Brooch

This brooch is from the late 1800's era. It features Kate Greenway children...It is from the Bogart estate...a family with rich history in New York and Pa. The same estate as the New York engraved silk 1800's invitation that is in my shop. Although the brooch is not signed sterling I am sure it is, however, it is being offered for it's beauty not weight etc. I have not polished this brooch, instead, it's beauty has survived the years unpolished...notice the bronze patina showing in the detailed faces etc. The dog has a chain on his collar that is looped to the back of the brooch. The brooch is 1 1/4 inches tall and a little over 1 1/2 inches long. A very rare brooch made int he days that Kate Greenway still walked the earth.*** Remember, insurance is optional. If you do not want insurance, check the deny insurance box on your purchase order *** If you collect Kate Greenway ( I once did ) , this brooch is a true treasure.
