Antique Salesman Sample Books in Salesman Case Dated 1906

One of my favorite salesman sample items. The case has the original leather handle intact. It is 10 inches x 7 1/2 inches and it is 2 inches thick. Unsnap the cover and the first beautiful book is scarlet red " Beautiful Thoughts by Famous Authors for Reading and Recitation. The paste down image of the woman is so beautiful, a striking contrast with the vivid colors of the book's hard cover. The inside has the title page which opposite is a beautiful full color page featuring Longfellow. This section is where I found the 1906 copyright date. This is also the part of the book that has a few pages that have begun to come loose at the spine, still intact though.The next hard cover book featured is a beautiful blue hard cover book that has a paste down of George Washington on a striking patriotic blue book cover with silvery-tone printing. " The Stories of Favorite Sons and Daughters of America ". Lots of black and white photos to show example of this wonderful book. Next book is vivid with color, " The Complete Speaker and Reciter ". Next book is equally as vivid in color, Thrilling Adventures Among The American Pioneers ". This one has Entered to the Act of Congress 1898 date. Next but not shown in photos is " Child Life in All Nations ". The last book featured is the truly beautiful ought to be framed, " The New Book of Alphabet and Rhyme " There's a few scrapes on the very inside edge of the cover, however, as you can see, this cover is truly fabulous. One the very back of the case are lined pages for the salesman to use to write orders, un used. The case has a few areas of wear, however, it is in fine clean intact vintage condition. Believe me, you will enjoy being the new owner of this rare book. I have owned others similar to this in their cases, but this one has always been my favorite...that's why I still have it.
