Vintage Silk Roses Necklace Presentation Box Rare Early 1900's

This item is from the early 1900's era. One did not just give a lady the gift of jewelry..the presentation of the jewelry was a gift cherished too. This is such a rare find. First of all, the lid is covered in a beautiful royal blue silk, and lightly padded like a pin cushion. Then the body of the box is paper covered with paper that features the most wonderful Victorian roses, you know the kind...you see them on most things of that era..calling cards and such. The paper actually feels like silk, so it does have some silk filaments in the paper, much like a silk post card. The box is 8 inches x 6 inches and 1 1/2 inches deep. The lid is attached to the body of the box...lift the lid and you see wonderful creme silk...stamped in blue on the bottom corner is this caption " Bluebird Pearls for Happiness ". Then, pull the silk tab at the top of the silk panel, and you see it has a self easel. Once the easel is in place, you can display your lovely pearls ( or your very favorite necklace ). The silk covered wire tabs at the top to hand your necklace can hold good weight. I even found one of the original pearls when I lifted to tab, so, that was delightful to see ( and will be included free ). The item is in fine condition...clean...sturdy and intact. The beautiful roses paper has a few scrapes on the edges, but overall, fine and truly beautiful. The silk padded top was used the shop where I found it for beautiful porcelain brooches, so, there are a few holes in the silk that is hidden well due to the silk being so lush.
