Vintage Purse Glass Jewels Frame Leather Purse

There was a time when I had one of the walls in my bedroom covered with beautiful purses. Each purse was hanging from an ornate clip of some type of ornate hardware. It was as though the wall was a painting, a colorful wild array of purses from mesh, enameled, rhinestones and petit point. When I decided to change the decor in that room, I sold some of the purses, some are displayed elsewhere in this house..and then there were a few, I could not bear to part with, so , I packed them away. I happened upon 2 of them today when looking for something else...and have decided it was time to part with them. Best to go to another collection, rather than be in a drawer. ----- This purse appears to be a fine soft leather. Still supple, not dry or brittle. The frame is ornate open work gilt with 2 glass-emerald sets, and 1 ruby red set prong set onto the openwork metal area of the purse. The long loop handle is leather with a twill lining on the under side. The body of the purse is 6 inches wide, 5 3/4 inches tall, not including the ornate clasp that the handle is also attached to. 13 inches total from the top of the handle to the bottom of the purse. I simply adore the inside of this purse. The coin purse inside is actually part of the hinge of the purse..there is a bar that goes from each side of the purse hinge of which the coin purse swings from. Above the coin purse on a dear little fabric tab is the mirror...The color of the silk rayon fabric is a mustard color like grey poupon mustard. Look closely, and you will see some shredding due to age in the folds. This purse is not signed, however, I assure you it is of the finest quality. Very good used vintage condition. No smells no stains...lovely. From me to you, the luxury of yester year's purse
