This is the largest piece of jewelry you will find for some time. It is 3 1/2 inches diameter , 1 inch deep ( that's correct, 1 inch deep )...and weighs 138.2 grams. It does have a primitive mark on back that does appear to point to this item having been hand wrought. The incised marks are large and primitive like an L a horizontal slash and then backward 3 and written in a vertical row...The pattern of thistles and leaves is beautiful in high relief. The huge glass topaz is faceted and superb in beauty..as though looking into a deep abbess of a star, an amazing feat to have it appear to be an endless view.
