This large and lovely antique Arts and Crafts sterling silver brooch features a skillfully hand wrought open work design of birds in flight.

The brooch is 2 ¼ inches square and in outstanding condition. There is some very minor pitting, primarily on the back of the pin.

It is marked “Sterling” on the reverse. I date this brooch to the late 19th century – early 20th century.

The Arts and Crafts period is a very important milestone in jewelry history, and no antique or vintage jewelry collection is complete without an Arts and Crafts representative.
