This wonderfully detailed brooch is in the motif of an Aztec or Columbian face mask. The brooch is sterling silver and is so marked. It bears the Mexico “eagle” stamp which dates the brooch to the period 1948 to the late 1960s. The eagle bears the number 28.

The pin is 1 ½ inches in diameter and in outstanding condition. It has a nice patina; I have only lightly cleaned it, just enough to display the detail and to clearly read the markings.

This lovely vintage silver brooch would be a marvelous addition to your antique or vintage jewelry collection.
