Tom & Jerry Bowl & Cups Homer Laughlin

This beautiful set is from the 1950’s. It is made by Homer Laughlin and is in very good condition. Overall size is 9 ½” diameter and stands 4” tall with the cup 3” tall and 3” in diameter not counting handle. The bowl and cup rims all have gold trim and “Tom & Jerry” calligraphy print is also in gold tones and is on bowl and cups. Color is a warm yellow crème satin. Tom & Jerry is traditionally a Holiday drink (cocktail) and started back in the middle 1800’s. How the Tom & Jerry became a holiday tradition is not known. You can find the recipe in any good bartender’s book or on the web.
