The oval series of enameled boxes ended in 1982 so I know that this approximate sized 1 ¾” x 1 ½” x 7/8” was made between 1971 and 1982 so it is one of the older editions. On the cover it says “Merci Infiniment” meaning “Thank you infinitely or forever”. This would be a wonderful present for the person who you want to thank profusely such as your Mother, sister, lover or wife. It’s big enough to put something very special inside also. I can just see an engagement ring or a small piece of jewelry stuck inside. No matter if you fill it or leave it empty the receiver is going to love this vintage hinged box piece. It has a blue base and a garland of flowers encircling the saying.
