Embee distributing company put out this gameboard in 1920. The cardboard board is from the game and cartoon character “Bring Up Father”. It was one of the most popular and longest running comic strips of all time. The cartoonist was George McManus the cartoon told the story of Irish American Jiggs, his wife Maggie, an ex laundress, and beautiful daughter Nora. Jiggs achieved sudden wealth by winning with a lucky ticket from the Irish Sweepstakes. The game board has wonderful cartoons of this family. Board is in good condition with some bumped edges to corners and binding on center somewhat worn. Wonderful vintage piece that would look great framed. Overall size of board is approximately 18 ½” square.
