This is by Beswick, F. Warne and Co. made in England with a copyright of 1973. He is in perfect condition and stands 3 ¼” tall. He was modeled by Graham Tongue. Color of back stamp is brown. Mr Alderman the turtle is green brown and gray. In 1947 the directors of the Beswick Studio gave their approval for the first figure modeled, Jemima Puddleduck. This set of 4 coffee mugs were made by Metasco – Japan in the late 1960’s. They have the burnt orange, purple and blue flowers on a white background. They stand 3 ¼” tall and diameter is 3” both approximately. All 4 are in very good condition and they are very stackable so they don’t take up much room. I have a burnt orange coffee pot that would go perfect with this set. Check out the pictures to see this mod flower power design.

The plate is a scalloped 5 ¾” in diameter display piece with a hole on top to hang on the wall. The saying on the plate is “In prosperity Friends are plenty, In adversity not one in twenty.” Rather appropriate in this time. It is from the 1930’s and is in very good condition except for some crazing due to age. It has large cabbage pink roses and a couple of birds plus the saying. Original corded rope is still attached. Very unusual and interesting piece.

This cup and saucer is from the 1950’s and made in Japan. Overall size of cup is 3” high and is 3 ½” in diameter on cup edge and bottom piece is 1 7/8”. It is a pedestal cup and handle has a scroll style all it’s own. Saucer is 5 ¼” wide. Both pieces are in very good condition with no chips or cracks. There are red poinsettias on cup and saucer with hand painted gold paint edging.

This little oblong bowl (5 ½” x 3 ¾” x 7/8” approximately) is used for bon bon or sweetmeats (a small delicacy preserved in sugar as preserves or pastries). It reminds me of a lovely soap dish with its shallow sides but for whatever it was made for you can see that it is a lovely little piece that could be used for a variety of things. It is in perfect condition.

You could get the book for your grandchild and start your collection of Beatrix Potter characters.

It has a gold and white border on both saucer and cup with a teal green accent (more toward the green side then the teal side). The border has a repeat pattern of birds and the set is quite charmer. Overall size of saucer is 4 ¼” in diameter and cup is 2 1/8” at top and stands 1 ¼” tall.

This is a sweet yellow base blue / yellow gold and pink rose flowers with gold trim around the rims and in the middle of tea / demitasse cup and saucer. There are flowers on the inside of cup also. Overall size is 4 ¾” diameter saucer and 2 ½” diameter teacup with cup standing 2” tall. It is in very good condition with no chips or cracks.

This piece was made between 1914 –1940 and has the Red Stamp Noritake. The M stands for Morimura Brothers, a prominent New York distributor. Overall size is approximately 12” x 5 ¼” standing 1 ½”. The hand painted flowers have a variety of colors of pink, purple, yellow and blue. The edge has a black border that has been worn throughout the years but no chipping of the porcelain nor cracks. Lovely piece to add to your collection.

This is a charming gravy boat made by Johnson Bros. back in the early 1900’s. It is only the gravy boat with no under plate. It has wonderful curves with a green pattern on white china and gold trim. The name of the pattern is “The Mikado” and it was made in England. It is in excellent condition for age, no cracks or chips.
