REDUCED Shirley Temple Doll Composition 1930's Needs TLC To Be Pretty Again

18" Ideal Shirley Temple doll. 1930's and fully marked Shirley Temple on the head and body both. She's over 70 year old and could use a second chance! The good news is that while she does have overall crazing and a couple of chipped places on her face, she is sound without peeling or deeply cracked compo (especially her body). She has her original tongue, teeth and eyes. She will need a new wig (there are new repro mohair wigs just for Shirley) and to be craze concealed. Probably her biggest issue though, is that she has part of her face paint that has come off. It would be up to you, or your doll hospital to decide if you would want to preserve her original paint, or give her new. However, her body should craze conceal very nicely, so if you are just looking for a marked 18" Shirley Body, this might be for you.

Her leg has a place where something sticky adhered and affected the paint. She has her toes and fingers and doesn't have any side splits, crotch splits or side of the head splits. The compo itself is sound (not exposed or crumbling) so she is a perfect "project" candidate!

Her eyes are the RARE brown ones, but the whites have a greenish tinge especially in natural light. She is missing lashes and one eye looks up slightly higher than the other. This can be easily corrected by putting a small piece of felt or cork inside the head where the eye rocker weight hits the inside of the head. Can you make Shirley pretty again? At this price, it would be worth the effort! :D
