The cool thing about World Fairs is that they last a long time. This one was taking place in 1933 and 1934 and the General Motors Car Company was represented by a resplendent building housing a “full assembly line” so folks could watch them making a car from start to finish as well as showcasing all of the General Motors Products such as; Chevrolet, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Buick, La Salle, Cadillac, Bodies by Fisher, GMC Trucks Yellow Coaches, General Cabs, AC Spark Plugs, Hyatt Roller Bearings, Guide Lamps, Delco-Remy, Ternstedt MFG. Co., New Departure, Delco Heat, Winton Engine, Ethyl Gasoline, Moraine Products, Inland MFG. CO., Allison Engineering, Delco Products, Frigidaire Refrigerators Coolers and Air Conditioners, Delco Household Appliances, General Motors Art and Color, Fleetwood Body Corporation, General Motors Acceptance Corporation (GMAC) General Exchange Insurance Corporation, General Motors Customer Research, General Motors Research, and United Motors Services.
All those products made for a very large and interesting attraction. I have shown just some of the pictures on the inside of the handout there are many more fascinating looks into the past here. One example is the first ever built completely air conditioned house ever built.
The map like pamphlet is 15 inches wide and 27 inches ling when opened and is printed on both sides. It has some ware at the outside edges from folding, but it is strong yet at the folds and not about to tear or come apart. The folder is done in shades of brown and sepia tone with badge and I believe it still looks much like it did when it was new.
