This is a fun figural fur clip my husband's mother had from around 1935-1940. It measures 1 & 1/2 inches long and 1 & 1/4 inches wide.It is of an over turned gold tone hat or basket with Seven lucky Aces tumbling out. Three are hearts, two are spades one is a diamond and one is a club. The cards are attached by a corner to a central hub on rings that allows movement and flutter to each card. The woven hat or basket is banded by 4 sparkling foil backed rhinestones that are still clear and lovely. The action on the prongs works nicely, and there is only very slight loss of the card faces, that in actuality may have happened as it was being printed. What shows up in the photo’s is hardly noticeable to the eye as the magnification I take these at is very close to show you all of the details. I am not sure what the cards are made of, but it looks to be some sort of light plastic. This is an unsigned piece.
HINT: If you are not into wearing fur, you can always make a fur clip into a broach simply by using a safety pin. Attach the pin in the spot you want the fir clip, then slip the prongs through the safety pin and Voila you have created a usable broach people will notice.
