Basketweave Majolica Plate with Grapes and Cherries

This wonderful majolica plate has a background of turquoise basketweave overlaid with green leaves, cherries and grapes. There are some glaze losses on the grapes, some of the leaves and around one cherry. It is marked Zell with the initials G S on the side of a teacup. The word Baden is beneath the cup. The number 2230 appears on the back with a C and a curved line beneath it. All marks are incised. Its date of manufacture was between 1907 and 1928. It stands approximately 1 1/8 inches high and is about 9 inches in diameter. There are also a few spots with glaze loss around the rim and around the base ring. Wouldn't this plate look lovely on your wall or in your china cabinet?
