This lovely thirteen piece Nippon lemonade set bears a lily design in green, white and yellow. There is a beige band around each cup and the pitcher, and each cup has a gold rim. The pitcher has gold accents on the handle and ice lip. They bear mark No. 7 as found in The Collector's Encyclopedia of Nippon, Porcelain, Third Series, by Van Patten. The pitcher has a few interior pits and two discolorations near the rim. On its exterior there appears one pit and a small spot where the glaze and/or paint did not take. One cup has a small crack extending 1/4 inch down from the rim. Another has a small interior pit and a fine hairline crack extending down 2 1/8 inches. Another has a crack extending down from the rim 1 3/4 inches. While some of the other cups have interior pits or small paint flaws, this is truly an outstanding set. It is very unusual to find such a complete set, even with the damage noted. It would make a delightful display on a shelf or in a china cabinet.
