This sleek, mid-century modern dining set is by Wallace Sterling. The holloware handles have a lovely etched foliate design, a matte burnished finish on the front side, and a smooth finish on the back.

All pieces except the knives are marked on the back of the handle "Wallace Sterling" along with the "(C)" copyright symbol and the "W" Wallace maker's mark; the knives are etched on the blade "Wallace Sterling Handle Stainless Blade."

In addition to the six 5-piece place settings, which each include knife, soup spoon, teaspoon, dinner fork and dessert fork, this set comes with a master butter knife, a large serving spoon, and a sugar spoon.

The set was a 1970 wedding gift and has never been used. Most pieces are still in their original plastic sleeves, although the plastic has deteriorated with age. We will leave cleaning to the new owner unless requested otherwise.

The Dawn Mist pattern was introduced in 1963, and is discontinued. This fabulous complete set would make a stunning addition to the Eames-era retro or modernist table.
