Antique Art Glass Sterling Silver Marcasite Brooch Pin by Thomas Mott

This little charmer is a rather unusual piece for Thomas L. Mott, who is better known for his butterfly wing line of jewelry dating back to the 1920's. This pin has a stunning piece of art glass with flashes of brilliant royal blue, red, and gold on a black base. The colors are stunning when the brooch moves and the light catches different angles.

The glass is set into sterling silver that is accented at each end with tiny marcasites.

Measuring 1" by 1/2", the brooch is in excellent vintage condition. It has a needle that extends just a bit past the brooch, as is common with many of the older pieces, and at the back of the brooch is a simple c-clasp. The piece is marked "TLM Sterling Made In England."
