Fabulous Vintage Faceted Shoebutton Rhinestone Dress Clip

This is a gorgeous old rhodium-plated rhinestone dress clip. It is a very high-quality piece in excellent vintage condition. The dress clip features very unusual royal blue shoe-button style stones that are faceted for added sparkle; the center of each is set with a clear, white rhinestone in a collar setting.

The only markings that I could find is one very small embossed letter or number on the inside of the clip portion that looks like an "I," a "T," or possibly a "1." The clip is tight and in good working condition. The piece measures 1 11/16" by 1 1/4". The design looks like it would be perfect for a 1930's movie star. It is of the caliber one might find in "Jewels of Fantasy," and I am still hoping that research will support my suspicion that it may be an early Alfred Philippe piece for Trifari.
