This fabulous vintage brooch is by Oystein Balle of Norway. Made of sterling silver, it is finished with vitreous glass (kiln-fired) enamel in vibrant shades of blue, seafoam green, and red accents. The style is emblematic of Scandinavian midcentury modernist design, with its abstract form and organic shape.

Measuring 1 7/8" by 1 1/2", the brooch is in excellent condition. The back has a simple c-clasp and is signed "Balle 925S Sterling Norway." The pin's needle has a slight bend in it which I will straighten before shipping.
