This dainty charmer is made of sterling silver with a detailed, floral border and a bezel-set, faceted, purple glass stone. Measuring 1 1/8" by 5/8", the brooch is in very good condition, with some minor fleabites to the table of the glass.

The back has a simple c-clasp. It looks as though the brooch may once have had a rhodium plated finish, which is almost completely gone; there are some traces of it on the back, but the front has a lovely, burnished patina.

The brooch is signed "Sterling" and "RR" - but I was unable to find additional information regarding the maker.
