Vintage Art Deco Silver Enamel Norway Screwback Earrings Bernard Meldahl

This pretty pair of vintage earrings is made of 830 silver (less silver content than sterling) with a gilt finish. The piece has been enameled in dramatic cobalt blue and black, with the basse-taille pattern showing through the blue.

The pair dates back to about the 1930's, and is by Bernard Meldahl. These earrings are unsigned but for the "830S" mark on the head of the screw mechanism (this may simply be due to lack of space for a full hallmark).

Each measures 11/16" by 9/16", and both are in excellent condition.
