These lovely earrings are made in the form of pretty dogwood blossoms. Fashioned from sterling silver, they are finished in fine vitreous glass (kiln-fired) enamel in white with delicate medium brown at the tips of the petals. Both the screwback mechanism and the back of each earring is stamped "sterling," and there is also a tiny maker's mark on the back of the earring that is too small for me to make out; it is in roughly the shape of an arrowhead. This lovely old enamel floral pin measures 2 1/4" long by 1 1/2" across. It features three cobalt blue guilloche enamel Flowers on curving stems that are banded together. The pin closes securely with a locking safety clasp. The back of the brooch reads "925S Sterling" and a "B" superimposed over "M," the maker's mark for Bernard Meldahl of Oslo, Norway.
