I purchased this set from a long time collector of vintage costume jewelry who has decided to down size her vast collection. This set dates from the 1970s and is signed D'Orlan, it features a floral design with textured gold-tone petals and silver-tone petals that are set with clear rhinestones. The brooch measures 2 by 2 inches and 3/4 of an inch in depth with the very dimensional design, the clip-on dangle earrings measure almost 1 1/2 inches by 1/2 inches and have nice movement when worn. Only the brooch is signed but it obviously is a matching set and in excellent condition with all the rhinestones bright and sparkly, it looks to have never been worn. The history of D'Orlan is as follows; In 1957 began operations in Toronto by Maurice Bradden

Braden had previously trained under French Jeweler Marcel Boucher

By early 1970s the D’Orlan jewelry brands were well distributed

In 1979 D’Orlan purchased the Marcel Boucher company

In 1984 D’Orlan formed a partnership with the Nina Ricci enterprises of Paris

Still in operation in Toronto Canada .
