Wonderful Glass Insulators Provide Color Highlights For Your Home, Garden, Deck, or Patio Area!

Dozens of VINTAGE INSULATORS are currently available for your creative needs!

Glass and and porcelain insulators played a key role in the development of the telegraph, telephone, and electric power networks.

Today the historic items offered here are from The Hemingray Glass Company which produced insulators from 1884-1967. This particular style has raised lettering which reads "HEMINGRAY - 42" and "MADE IN U.S.A." These individual insulators measure approximately 4.5" tall, and 3.75" across the base, and come in varying shades of aqua/blue/green.

Some of the insulators are the "Hemingray - 40" style, quite similar in color and size. Please specify if you wish a certain type.

These vintage Insulators have been sorted into two groups:

a) MINT CONDITION displaying absolutely No Chips or Cracks - Asking $10 each for these PERFECT insulators!

b) EXCELLENT CONDITION with extremely minor, nearly undetectable chip or crack. This group is as close to perfect as possible without being categorized as mint. Asking $5 each for these extraordinarily nice insulators!

These highly collectible insulators are likely close to a hundred years old, and they are often dirty and dusty due to age and use on power poles in the past. However, when cleaned up, the insulators glow with a gorgeous translucent light that is absolutely beautiful to behold!

Here are some neat DECORATING IDEAS utilizing insulators:

Using a string of Christmas lights, slip one bulb inside each insulator to make a lovely lighting ambiance. This subdued light is spectacular on a fireplace mantel, festive table centerpiece, or shelf interspersed with silk flowers, snowy winter items, or other seasonal, holiday highlights. Use blinking lights for a brightly dancing display!

Turned upside down with a small candle inserted, the beautifully colored insulators make very stylish Votive Candle Holders. Or when set upon a lighted base, they transform into a small desk lamp or night light. Stunning and elegant in design, these pieces represent a little slice of history when strategically placed in areas of interest.

Outdoors, the insulators can be used as very distinctive YARD LIGHTS. Plans for this are available online. Check Google for info.

Another old-fashioned IDEA is to place the insulators along the top of your fence posts, or among your shrubs and flowers as decorative highlights! There are many ways these vintage artifacts can be used. Think up your own special creative insulator ideas. It's fun!

Purchase just one insulator, or as many as needed for your unique project!

Shipping fees will be adjusted according to the number of items in your order. The S&H listed above is for just one or two insulators. One dozen insulators (very carefully packed) will fit into a large Flat Rate Priority Mail box, and would ship for $20 including insurance costs. Or as many as seven insulators would ship together in a smaller Flat Rate Box for just $13.

Give a call @ 541-513-3271 with any inquiries concerning this large lot of vintage items, or to make special arrangements for purchase or shipping.

These fantastic, colorful, vintage glass insulators make outstanding decorative gifts, paper weights, or wonderful additions to your unique collection!

They are definitely still GREAT PIECES OF HISTORY!
