Beautifully made and unusually turned into the form of a barrell, then finished with brass strapping and a tap to exactly emulate a coopered barrel.

The screw lid is meticulously made and works perfectly for refilling with string or twine.

Dating to around 1850, it remains in superb condition standing 4 1/2" tall with a base diameter of 3 1/4". A wonderful top notch piece of English treen.
