Stunning American Sterling Silver and Guilloche Enamel Box - Hand Painted Floral Garlands

An absolute stunner of a trinket box made by R. Blackinton & Co. of North Attleboro, Massachusetts. The hallmark can be found around the rim of the base and it is marked "Sterling".

The lid is adorned with a creamy white guilloche enamel over pretty engine turning and enhanced with pretty and delicate hand painted floral and foliate garlands interspersed with a tiny gold spot; all beautifully executed.

The hinge is in good working order and the interior retains it's gilded finish.

Excellent condition, one tiny ding to one side, insignificant but mentioned for accuracy. Dating to around 1920, the enamel is in outstanding condition. Measures 2 1/2" in diameter and 1 1/4" tall.
