Rare Victorian Perfume / Vinaigrette Combination - Silver Gilt

A quite wonderful combined scent bottle at one end with a Vinaigrette the other end. The tops are adorned with intricate and highly decorative repousse work surrounding a central raised cartouche which could be engraved if desired.

The top to the perfume end unscrews and the interior of the top lined with cork to prevent evaporation of the precious contents.

The Vinaigrette has a hinged lid which reveals the pretty gilded grille; of course this all unscrews to enabling the Vinaigrette to be re-filled.

As many of these the silver is unmarked but dates to around 1850; superb condition, measuring 3 1/2" in length.
