The heavy piece of crystal has a star cut base and is without any chips or cracks.
The top is made from solid or sterling silver with a delightful pierced or reticulated border. There are clear hallmarks on both parts; the collar and lid, for London 1901 together with the makers mark for famous and highly collectible silversmiths, William Comyns.
Excellent condition, a tiny dent to the lid, insignificant but mentioned purely for accuracy.
